Berkshire Advisors completed a central office administrative staffing study for the Bloomfield Hills Schools. The primary objective of this study was to assist Bloomfield Hills in ensuring that it is maximizing efficiency and effectiveness within its administrative functions. The study’s focus was to evaluate the current workload allocation within each department and between departments and to determine if opportunities exist to achieve greater productivity without negatively affecting the level of service provided. This study provided detailed recommendations for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of overall central office operations and individual central office units.
In conducting this study, in addition to individual interviews and analysis of department policies and procedures, data documentation and other relevant materials, focus groups and in-depth analysis of all central functions was performed. Two employee surveys were also completed, one by central office staff and one by school based administrators who are customers of central office services.
